We know that working together is the only way we can achieve what is necessary for a healthier future.   About the role   Our Lived Experience Workforce (LEW) is a non-clinical team that operates across various clinical settings, including Crisis Assessment Treatment Teams, Acute Inpatient Units, Emergency Departments, Community Teams, and Rehabilitation Services within our Mental Health & Wellbeing Program.     Supported by the Lived Experience Leadership team, the Lived Experience Team Leaders will initiate, lead, and support daily operations of the Lived Experience peer workforce team in the following areas.   Community Teams     Rehabilitation Services      This role involves close collaboration with service leaders, clinicians, and lived experience staff to promote a multidisciplinary team approach that is inclusive of lived experience peer support and responsive to the needs and perspectives of consumers and their family carers.      About you   To be successful in this role you will possess:   Experience working as a member of a Lived Experience Workforce   Substantial knowledge and expertise in mental health consumer/carer peer support in mental health services.     Completion of Intentional Peer Support (IPS) training.    Experience providing consumer or carer lived experience perspective in various settings and activities, including active participation of committees, working groups and projects, and working with a range of stakeholders    Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to initiate, problem solve, negotiate and communicate with staff, consumers, carers and other service users.     Ability to determine workload priorities, coordinate tasks and work to timelines.     Sound work practice and planning skills, the ability to manage time and workforce demands by balancing the needs of the service and the service user.    Ability to balance both services, lived experience workforce and consumer and supporter needs.       Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
