ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING:

  • A solid foundation with tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, or Data Science.
  • Proven experience in data entry and administration.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an unyielding commitment to high accuracy in record keeping.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills – you can simplify complex information and work collaboratively.
  • The ability to calmly prioritise tasks under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organisational and time management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience within the agricultural industry or supply chain.
  • Familiarity with database systems such as Microsoft Access or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with agricultural operations and livestock systems.
  • An understanding of feedlot operations and livestock financials.
Responsibilities

Your critical role will involve:

  • Accurately costing, receipting, and recording commercial transactions for all livestock purchases – from supply points right through to their destinations like properties, feedlots, and processing facilities.
  • Creating and issuing livestock values and invoice documentation for both internal and external transactions, ensuring all vendor payment details (ABN, bank info) are complete for accurate RCTIs
  • Maintaining impeccable ‘Mob Data’ records to support weekly and monthly financial reporting and ensuring stock records for all purchased cattle are accurate and up to date.
  • Verifying sale cattle invoices against buyer summaries and induction data, reconciling numbers and pay weights weekly.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of SMA, paddock book, and stock-on-hand data for robust end-of-month (EOM) reporting and distributing this vital EOM data to Finance and relevant managers.
  • Assisting property managers with data for movements, weights, and livestock inventory changes, and working closely with feedlot and property staff to update delivery data and swiftly resolve any discrepancies.
  • Providing essential administrative support across the livestock team, assisting with general duties, and stepping in for team members during absences to guarantee operational continuity. You’ll also be a go-to person for internal customers, delivering timely, accurate, and actionable information.
  • Upholding all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements, and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to animal welfare and biosecurity practices.
