Salary: Competitive, based on experience

As we expand our operations and deepen our community impact, we’re seeking a hands-on, visionary Farm Manager to lead our agricultural and animal care operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in farm management or a senior agricultural role
  • Strong knowledge of livestock husbandry.
  • Basic maintenance is preferable
  • Leadership and team development skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach
  • Understanding of visitor-facing environments and the ability to balance operational needs with guest experience
  • Relevant qualifications in Agriculture, Animal Science, or related fields preferred
  • Experience with Zoo Licensing preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Livestock Manager will oversee the daily operations of our working farm and animal areas, ensuring the highest standards of welfare, safety, and visitor engagement. This role blends strategic planning with practical leadership, supporting both the commercial and educational aims of the park.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • · Lead and manage all aspects of livestock care, including feeding, health monitoring, breeding, and enrichment
  • Maintain farm infrastructure, machinery, and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Recruit, train, and supervise farm staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture
  • Collaborate with the events and education teams to integrate farm activities into guest experiences
  • Monitor budgets, stock levels, and supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective operations
  • Ensure compliance with agricultural, environmental, and animal welfare regulations
  • Contribute to strategic planning, sustainability initiatives, and long-term farm development
