This opening will mark the resurgence of luxury nightlife experiences in New York with dynamic food and beverage venues and programming that will make Faena the ultimate destination for the sophisticated traveler to New York. Job Description Living Room is a glamorous, night-only venue with outdoor space, serving bespoke and signature cocktails, crave-worthy small plates, and an eclectic wine list. Evenings come alive with nightly curated live music, artfully designed to enchant and inspire. The Living Room Host is the first and last impression of the dining experience. This role is responsible for greeting guests with warmth, managing reservations and seating flow, and supporting overall guest satisfaction. Hosts must balance gracious hospitality with sharp organizational skills in a fast-paced environment. This full-time position has an hourly rate of $25.00 per hour plus tips. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival Manage reservations, guest waitlist, and table assignments using designated system Maintain awareness of guest preferences, VIPs, and seating strategy Handles, organizes and manages coat check Escort guests to tables, providing menus and informing servers of arrival Monitor pacing of dining room and communicate with service staff to ensure smooth flow Answer phones and assist with guest inquiries and bookings Maintain a polished, welcoming presence at the host stand throughout service Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in a host or guest-facing role in upscale hospitality Familiarity with reservation systems (Resy, OpenTable, SevenRooms, etc.) Strong interpersonal and multitasking abilities Comfortable handling guest concerns or requests diplomatically Poised, polished appearance and communication SKILLS Warm, confident presence under pressure Exceptional organization and floor awareness Natural communicator with excellent phone and in-person etiquette Graceful handling of high-volume guest interactions PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces Remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift Medium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
