As a Bistro Food Service Attendant, you will have the opportunity to work in one of our many in-park Food and Beverage locations throughout the park. Working as a Bistro Food Service Attendant is the perfect way to gain valuable customer service, food preparation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. We are currently looking for a: Living Shores- Bistro Food Service Attendant Roles & Responsibilities: Role & Responsibilities: Greet customers, assist with questions, and manage accurate transactions to provide an engaging customer experience Perform opening and closing procedures related to the assigned Food & Beverage location and as directed by team leads and shift supervisors Set up and breakdown of workstation Responsible to adhere to all applicable labor regulations and guidelines, including scheduled start and end times, break schedules and consecutive days worked Prepare food following proper procedure and safety guidelines using fryers, grills and other professional kitchen equipment Prepare food items according to menu specifications, portion sizes and proper cooking temperatures Ensure all food product specifications and procedures are followed during preparation Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment: refrigeration, fryers, griddles, ovens, outdoor grills, food warmers, soda fountains, etc. Store and rotate stock and food items within assigned work locations Maintain a safe work environment, according to company and external inspection standards Replenish condiments, beverages, and food supplies while maintaining a clean work area Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for hosts and guests Monitor product quality and communicate shrinkage/waste to the lead and/or supervisor Provide excellent customer service Conduct transactions while ensuring all handling procedures are followed – including credit and refund transactions, loss prevention Quickly and politely respond to and resolve guest questions and concerns Follow all proper Personnel Protective Equipment guidelines when working around food preparation equipment Smile and communicate with fellow hosts and guests to ensure exceptional customer service Assist guests by quickly and politely answering their questions Conduct POS transactions while ensuring all procedures are followed – including credit and refund transactions. Ensure that all PCI and park guidelines are being followed for all financial transactions. All other duties assigned by leadership Education and Experience: No education requirements for this role 1+ year of previous culinary work experience at a food service or restaurant preferred but not required Must become Food Handler Safety Certified (ServSafe or similar) or become so within 90 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines. Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus. Requirements: Must be at least 16 years of age to comply with Story Land Child Labor Laws Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must have negative TB test results within the last 2 years Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift Ability to comply with all uniform policies Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all state, and local food preparation and serving regulations Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently Ability to use kitchen equipment and accessories in a safe and effective manner Ability to keep the kitchen areas neat and organized Ability to use step stools, as needed Ability to safely utilize knives and other food preparation equipment, as needed Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders Ability to withstand heat and humidity from the food preparation equipment Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more Working Conditions: This role will be based in one or more food stall and/or restaurant locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain and other weather conditions Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, and heavily populated environments Working at Story Land is about making people happy!
