Description The Load Out Team Lead supports day-to-day operations in the nursery by managing the Load Out team and ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently and with high level of customer service. This leadership position involves guiding team members in loading merchandise, maintaining grounds and organization, training new hires and providing operational support throughout the property. This role requires physical endurance, teamwork and the ability to adapt in fast-paced, outdoor environment. The ideal candidate will be organized enthusiastic, and proactive in problem solving, with a strong commitment to customer service and team morale. This is a full-time/part-time, non-exempt role (35+ hours/week), including weekend availability, Regular lifting of 50-70 lbs. is required. Requirements Train new Load Out team members on safety, organization, and customer service standards. Provide hands-on support with loading, pulling orders, stocking and assisting other departments as needed. Act as the point person for Load Out-related questions and tasks delegation. Ensure outdoor areas are clean, safe, and organized. Assist customers with loading purchases and ensure they leave with a positive experience. Support store operations by completing physical tasks such as relocating merchandise and maintaining walkways. Participate in interviews and provide feedback on team performance and hiring needs. Encourage teamwork, communication and a positive work environment across department. Maintain readiness for all weather conditions, encourage the team to stay hydrated and properly equipped. Assist with closing and opening procedures. Coordinate break and lunch schedules, especially in peak season. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in customer service, warehouse/garden center operations or team leadership Strong physical ability; must be able to lift 50-70 lbs. repeatedly Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills Capable of working in all weather conditions with a flexible and proactive attitude
