DESCRIPTION

We are recruiting for an experienced Load Shovel/Machine operator for our site in Droylsden.
You will be required to work based on a 4on 4off shift pattern.

• In depth knowledge and understanding of plant and machinery operations.
• Exceptional attention to detail in maintenance and safety protocols.

• Proactive approach to problem-solving and incident management.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Machinery & Plant Operation:

• Be proficient in operating all machinery and plant essential to the business unit, ensuring their safe and efficient use.

Maintenance:

• Conduct daily and weekly checks on machinery and plant.
• Perform refuelling, lubrication, and greasing as needed to maintain operational standards.
• Promptly record and report any defects or breakdowns to ensure timely resolution.

Production Reporting:

• Accurately report daily production output and any downtime to the Operations Manager for review and action.

Work Environment:

• Maintain a safe and organized workspace, ensuring walkways and emergency exits are free of obstructions.
• Always use the appropriate safety equipment and PPE.

Incident Reporting:

• Non-conforming wastes or contamination delivered to the site.
• Accidents, incidents, near-misses, environmental hazards, and health & safety breaches to the relevant manager.
