Job Summary This 2nd shift position is responsible for the pulling/picking and loading of all outbound shipments and unloading/movement of all inbound deliveries to the facility. Duties and Responsibilities: * Operates a propane sit-down forklift. * Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order. * Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials. * Moving products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. * Inspect the forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety. * Verify piece counts on each pallet and compares to label. * Material handling of all products. * Follow shipping work orders. * Other duties as assigned Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. * Highly motivated with good sound work ethics. * Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail. * Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers. * Ability to learn and operate new equipment. * Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers). * Strong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size. Education and Experience: Required: * High School diploma or equivalent is required. * Minimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving. Working Conditions: * Fast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways.
