Loader Operator (Water & Sewer) Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Wheel Loader to work on underground / water & sewer projects located in Edmonton. This position starts in January 2025 Duties include (but are not limited to): Installation of underground utilities in close proximity to existing utilities and in existing residential / commercial areas Work closely with pipe crews to install pipe - ensuring a high level of safety, communication and quality Working in highly congested areas Moving materials to pipe crews using proper rigging mechanisms and procedures Operate equipment in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment Ensure work is always done safely, to the highest quality standard while maintaining strong production Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program Daily equipment inspections and maintenance Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity Required Skills: 3+ years of experience as Wheel Loader Operator Underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is an asset Exceptionally safety conscious Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent / foreman Ability to operate other equipment is an asset Strong communication skills Required Certifications: CSTS 2020 WHMIS 2015 Ground Disturbance Level 2
