Job Details: Shift A days/hours are: Sunday thru Tuesday 7 am to 7 pm and Wednesday 7 am to 1 pm This position is responsible for operating a loader and helping maintain plant operations on a daily basis while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Functions Ÿ To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture Ÿ Receive training as required Ÿ Perform various positions as required/assigned Description This position is responsible for loading all finished outgoing product, inspecting rail cars and tankers, collecting samples and completing and keeping documents while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. When not engaged in loading rail cars, tankers, containers, or trucks, applicant will be required to work in production area as assigned by supervisor. Tasks Applicants will be considered for any Rail/Truck/Container Loadout opening. Must be able to read and write in order to complete all necessary documentation. Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Requires ability to use basic hand tools to perform basic mechanical and maintenance operations. May be required to operate Track Mobile after being certified. May be required to operate all-terrain forklift after being certified. Required to complete Bills of Lading and other shipping documents, prepare inventory log on all finished product. Required to inspect and record condition of all rail cars, containers, and tankers prior to loading, collect samples as required, record data on test log. Must use high-pressure hoses as required. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Requirements Must have 6 months of continuous employment with 1 employer within the last 2 years in a manufacturing production or industrial setting. Must be documented on application or resume. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
