FULL JOB DESCRIPTION.

A Meriden based wood recycler is recruiting an experienced loading shovel operator.
The successful candidate will be involved in the production of biomass fuel as well as other wood-chip based products using shredders and screeners.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES.

• Experience of operating, and machine licence for, a wheeled loading shovel.
• An ability to follow direction.
• An awareness of mechanical operations.
• Good timekeeping and reliability.

• Carry out daily walk round checks of the plant you are to be operating paying particular attention to oil and coolant levels and greasing, including any safety related items.
• Informing your line manager of any defects that need attention.
• Use the machine to load vehicles, ensuring they are loaded with the correct material and to the correct weight.
• Assist in management of waste wood and product stockpiles, ensuring that maximum allowable dimensions are not exceeded.
• After further training you may be required to operate shredders and screeners.
• Undertake all reasonable instruction given to you by your line manager and/or other site and senior company management.
• Follow all Company policies and procedures and abide by all applicable legislation whilst carrying out your duties.
