Job Description

We are supporting a leading international bank on a defined loan portfolio transfer programme. As part of a wider balance sheet optimisation, a portfolio of syndicated loan assets is being sold down, and every facility in scope requires full transfer execution — documentation, system updates, agent and counterparty communication, and settlement.

You will run transfers end to end , working directly with Front Office, agent banks and buying counterparties to get each trade documented, circled, booked and settled.

Job Requirements

Transfer documentation

• Prepare Transfer Certificates in line with LMA standards and execute the associated transfer mechanics accurately and to deadline.

Review of transfer provisions

• Interrogate credit agreements to establish the operational transfer requirements for each facility — consent conditions, minimum transfer amounts, transfer restrictions and permitted transferee provisions — and flag anything that affects the trade.

Pricing letters

• Draft and issue Pricing Letters, applying secondary loan market pricing conventions including settlement date economics, delayed compensation and cost of carry.

Loan IQ circling and system activity

• Complete circling and the associated booking and maintenance activity in Loan IQ so that positions, facility records and settlement data stay accurate throughout the transfer.
• 
  

Agent communication

• Act as the point of contact with agent banks — submitting transfer documentation, tracking consents and approvals, and managing the syndicated lending agency process through to effective date.
• 
  

Counterparty communication

• Liaise directly with buying counterparties across the settlement lifecycle, resolving queries and clearing blockers to keep trades moving to close.
• 
  

Review and validation of documentation

• Own the quality check across the full transfer pack, validating documentation and data ahead of execution so that trades settle first time.
• Experience in syndicated loan operations, loan agency, or secondary loan trading support — within a bank, agency provider or asset manager.
• Demonstrable secondary loan market experience. You have executed sales and transfers of loan assets and understand the process from trade date through to settlement. This is the single most important requirement for the role.
• Working knowledge of LMA documentation, specifically Transfer Certificates, Pricing Letters, and the transfer provisions contained within credit agreements.
• Understanding of syndicated lending agency processes and how agent banks operate through a transfer.
• Strong attention to detail and the discipline to validate documentation and data before it is issued — these transfers are time-bound and error-sensitive.
• Confident written and verbal communication with external counterparties, agent banks and internal Front Office stakeholders.
• Availability to start immediately.
