The bank is currently seeking a Branch Operations Officer to support the daily operations, service excellence, and employee development across Marion Community Bank locations. This is a full-time, in-office position based at our new Wetumpka Branch, where regular travel to our branch network is required. The position generally follows a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; hours may vary based on business needs. The Branch Operations Officer position will play a crucial role in ensuring our branches run efficiently, compliantly and in alignment with the Marion Community Bank’s customer-first philosophy. Key responsibilities include: Leadership: Proactively seek personal and professional growth opportunities; maintain a growth mindset. Promote and support bank-wide initiatives with enthusiasm and a team-first attitude. Foster positive, supportive relationships with both branch staff and inter-departmental teams. Sales & Service Deliver exceptional customer service by consistently demonstrating the Marion Community Bank Promise. Answer incoming calls using MCB’s phone protocol; provide warm and professional call transfers. Build and maintain deep knowledge of all bank products and services; take initiative in staying informed. Job Functions Gather initial financial information on new customers and proactively request financial information from existing customers when necessary. Gather supporting credit documentation such as debt schedules and credit reports. Order applicable third-party loan due diligence items such as UCC searches, appraisals, title searches, environmental reports, flood determinations, and surveys. Process complete and accurate loan packages on new and renewed loans with minimal documentation exceptions. Coordinate loan closings with the loan officer and customer including legal counsel where appropriate. Accurately and timely scan completed loan and credit packages into the bank’s loan filing system. Monitor any documentation exceptions to ensure they are cleared in a timely manner. Handle regular loan maintenance for customers such as draw requests, pay downs, payment errors and payoffs. Onboard new customers thoroughly by introducing them to all products and service of the bank. Assist customers with any deposit related needs such as account opening, error resolution, debit card reorder, check orders, wire transfers, etc… Assist mortgage customers with GMFS applications and scan documents upon request to GMFS. Complete assigned training within the required deadlines. Other duties as assigned.
