Loan Clerk Department: 2221-Lexington Employment Type: Temporary Location: Lexington, Nebraska Compensation: Depends on Experience Description GENERAL SUMMARY: Assists with clerical support and loan processing. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Process loan paid outs – file real estate releases, mail paid original documents to customer. Maintains all original loan documents in consistent and orderly manner. Process and prepare loan payments, loan payoffs, advances, escrow payments, insurance payments, loan participations and loan purchases. File UCC financing statements for proper extensions, modifications & terminations. File vehicle title and process releases. Greets customers and answers phone. Provide telephone customer service and support for external and internal customers regarding inquiries and problem resolution. Researches and resolves problems as needed. Provide clerical support. Regular and reliable attendance. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of bank policies and procedures. Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software. Knowledge of basic accounting. Skill in communicating with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to pay close attention to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work under pressure of deadlines. Ability to function as a team player. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent. Previous banking experience or equivalent work experience preferred. Previous experience with computer software. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Seeing: 75-100% Must be able to greet customers, read documents, use computer Hearing: 75-100% Must be able to communicate with customers and co-workers Standing/Walking: 25-49% Must be able to visit customer Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0-24% Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0-24% Fingering/ Grasping/Feeling: 75-100% Must be able to use computer, write PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS: Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
