TRI POINTE CONNECT, THE MORTGAGE AFFILIATE OF TRI POINTE HOMES, IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN OUR TALENTED GROUP IN ARIZONA AS A LOAN CLOSER. THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN SCOTTSDALE, AZ AND WILL WORK A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE (M-W IN OFFICE, TH-F REMOTE).

Position Highlights: The Loan Closer is responsible for ensuring the loan has been submitted with the proper documentation to meet the closing criteria. Duties include creating an accurate Closing Disclosure (CD) and meeting compliance standards to include the 3- day rule. The Loan Closer is responsible for keeping all parties informed and meeting/exceeding the closing date for the borrower.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years in mortgage closing (closing experience must be dated after 2015); purchase/builder experience preferred
• MS Office; including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Encompass LOS experience preferred
• Must be able to work in office located in Scottsdale, AZ; hybrid/remote may be considered for select markets

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and compare documentation in loan file to data entered in loan origination system, ensuring accuracy of system data
• Perform pre-closing entry of loan fees and other applicable data to generate initial closing disclosure
• Perform all data entry required to draw and send loan documents to settlement agent
• Review closing conditions, signatures on loan documents, and clear any applicable closing conditions prior to authorizing funding disbursement
• Balance closing disclosure figures with settlement agent to determine borrower final cash to close as well as funding wire amount
• Authorize funding of loan upon receipt of required documents and conditions
• Assist in resolving any post-closing deficiencies in a timely manner
• May assist with another closer’s pipeline when needed
• Manage pipeline and daily workload to ensure all loans meet expected close of escrow date
• Ensure all loans are closed in accordance with Federal and State regulatory requirements
• Meet minimum productivity requirements while maintaining excellent customer service and expected level of quality
