Description COME JOIN OUR TEAM! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Loan Counseling Assistant to join our Loan Servicing team. In this role, you will support Loan Counselors and work closely with borrowers who are past due on their mortgage payments. You will play a key role in reviewing loan assistance applications, ensuring completeness, and helping borrowers move toward solutions that allow them to remain in their homes. Key Responsibilities: Review loan modification and assistance applications for completeness and accuracy Communicate with borrowers and Loan Counselors regarding application status and next steps Assist with delinquency resolution through borrower support and collection efforts Prepare and follow up on loss mitigation packets to ensure timely processing Maintain accurate records of borrower interactions and application progress Evaluate borrower eligibility for home retention programs and provide customer support At our organization, we are dedicated to improving lives and strengthening Idaho communities. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred 1–3 years of experience in loan servicing, collections, or related field preferred Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills and ability to handle confidential information professionally
Responsibilities
The Loan Counseling Assistant supports loan counselors by reviewing mortgage assistance applications for completeness and accuracy. They also assist borrowers with delinquency resolution and maintain detailed records of all interactions.
