Job Details Job Location: Paintsville, KY 41240 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $15.90 - $23.84 Hourly Job Category: Banking Summary This position verifies, compiles and prepares loan documents for all loan requests in accordance with regulatory guidelines, bank policies and procedures from application to closing. The Loan Documentation Specialist ensures that documents are prepared in accordance to the applicable underwriting / regulatory requirements and effectively communicates on an ongoing basis with Loan Officers and other lending support staff. This position is responsible for accurately balancing and preparing general ledger tickets for new loans. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Works closely and effectively with all parties involved in the loan process by providing professional and courteous customer service including but not limited to lenders, loan support staff, credit operations staff, title companies, vendors, etc., to ensure a smooth and efficient process. Reviews loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets established requirements. Verifies, compiles and processes loan documents ensuring timely and accurate input of required information to the processing system. Contacts lender or support staff to discuss any questionable or missing items necessary to process the request. Prepares required disclosures in accordance with lending regulations and submits loan application file to lead underwriter for underwriting approval. Monitor assigned loan requests daily to ensure loan conditions are satisfied and cleared in a timely manner. Effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) with lenders regarding the status of each loan. Order and review services such as title work, flood determinations, verification of employment (VOE), etc. Prepares and submits complete loan documentation to the loan officer for loan closing. Perform post-closing documentation review and loan upload to the Bank’s Core System (CSI currently) after the loan(s) is closed. This process includes but is not limited to the following: Verifying the closing documentation has been fully executed, duplicated or blank document are removed from the document batch with a review of the document image quality, accurate data entry from a variety of documents to establish customer account records for information retrieval on the bank's on-line system, update customer information files and link loan accounts properly, verify new loan account documentation received and uploading to core system, posts file maintenance changes to existing loan accounts, post address change request as it pertains to loans, setup and maintain Auto Transfer request as it pertains to loans, W-9 system setup for year-end reporting, etc. Generates and mails adverse action notices to applicants in timely and compliant manner. Records data on status of loans, including number of new applications and loans approved, canceled, or denied, using computer. Must maintain an adequate knowledge and understanding of all associated bank regulations, the lending policy, all loan products and all types of entities. Uses reference manuals, training tools, established policies and procedures provided by management along with the knowledge of the on-line system to correctly input/process data. Assist supervisor on the development of training materials, workflow procedures and various projects as needed. Responsible for notifying supervisor of trends relating to errors. Assists in ensuring the Bank is compliant with bank policy and all regulatory requirements. Works with management in creating efficiencies and making the department more effective. Cross trains with and backs up other departmental employees. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Software proficiencies include Microsoft Excel and Word, LaserPro and Mortgagebot . Note: Software packages change; the important thing is that the incumbent be adaptable enough to learn the required software relevant to the tasks at hand at any given time.
