LOAN DOCUMENTATION SPECIALIST – CREDIT OPERATIONS

In-Person - NO REMOTE Option
Position Summary
The Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining loan documentation to ensure compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and legal standards. This role plays a key part in supporting the lending team and ensuring a smooth loan process from approval to closing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review loan documents for commercial, consumer, and real estate loans.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all loan files in accordance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and secondary market requirements.
  • Work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and processors to gather necessary documentation and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain loan documentation systems and track outstanding items to ensure timely loan closings.
  • Perform post-closing review of loan files and assist with corrections or updates as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal teams and external customers by responding to questions regarding loan documentation and processes.
  • Stay informed on compliance, legal, and regulatory requirements affecting loan documentation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in loan operations, loan documentation, or banking preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, lending practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and loan documentation systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
