Farm Credit of the Virginias is seeking a dynamic Loan Officer to join our team, with a special focus on mortgage and consumer lending. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who excels in providing high-quality, creative credit solutions to individuals and small businesses. You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships, identifying new lending opportunities, and delivering personalized mortgage and consumer loan options that meet the unique needs of our clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Economics, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three - five years lending (or related) work experience
  • Demonstrated strong customer relationship skills with effective communication skills
  • Commitment to maintain strong involvement in local community
  • Knowledge of region’s economic & agriculture environment
  • Skilled in making business decisions upon which both customers & the Association can rely
  • Ability to form effective internal working relationships
  • Ability to work in a high performing team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products with demonstrated ability to learn new technology
  • Skilled with working in a mobile/virtual work environment with flexibility to travel as necessary
    Salary Range: $66,800- 98,200 plus incentive opportunities

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong lending relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Recommend tailored mortgage and consumer loan solutions using sound credit judgment
  • Structure and manage loans that support both the customer’s needs and the Association’s financial goals
  • Service a portfolio of loans through inspections, appraisals, and collection strategies
  • Stay current on lending practices, market trends, and economic factors
