LOAN OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual for our Loan Operations team. The Ideal candidate who under general supervision and within established policies and procedures performs a wide variety of duties pertaining to the servicing and operations of loans including processing payoffs; release of liens; booking new loans and renewals; posting payments and loan disbursements; completion of credit ratings; tracking, obtaining and auditing hazard insurance and taxes; maintenance of loan/customer information; security of Bank retained collateral; tracking of financial statements; UCC filings, and other time-sensitive processes/documents; as needed, produces correspondence; responds to customer inquiries; and prepares reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Requires minimum 2 years college level courses.
  2. Minimum 1 year experience in loan operations in a financial services industry.
  3. Requires loan servicing experience with commercial and consumer real estate loans.
  4. Requires computer experience with programs such as MS Word, Excel, Laser Pro etc.
  5. Knowledge of commercial and consumer real estate finance, laws, compliance, general accounting, and data systems.
  6. Ability to collect and analyze financial information.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks, strong follow through, and consistently meet deadlines.
  8. Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Excel.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Well-developed customer relations skills.
    Bilingual: Cantonese or Mandarin prefer

Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrates quality customer service principles with internal and external customers ensuring customer relationships are maintained at the highest possible level.
  2. Tracks insurance policies on a timely basis and obtains appropriate policies; upon receipt of policy, audits all appropriate system updates and files appropriately.
  3. Tracks loan commitments and corresponding balances, and reconciles transactions against the general ledger.
  4. Responds to customer inquiries by researching, analyzing, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  5. Reviews all appropriate loan reports and provides all necessary audit trails and information on the appropriate report, daily.
  6. Tracks property taxes (if applicable) and obtains the appropriate evidence of payment. Upon receipt of evidence, responsible for verification, system updates, and filing.
  7. Properly stores loan documentation, including credit and legal files, notes, and any other loan documentation or correspondence, adhering to retention schedules for both the department and the warehousing of documents and records.
  8. Maintains and updates customer information in both the physical loan files and supporting data systems.
  9. Tracks UCC filings, financial statements, collateral reviews, and any other time-sensitive processes/documents and communicates due dates to account officers in a timely manner.
  10. Prior to scheduling funding/closing, ensure loans conform to LSC Process Risk Assessment and the Credit Memorandum.
  11. Create and maintain hard and electronic loan files. Ensure complete and accurate files are maintained for presentation in internal and external audits.
  12. Ongoing tracking and monitoring of post-closing tickler items.
