Description The Loan Operations Specialist lll (Payoff Desk) role requires an advanced level of knowledge of multiple aspects of Loan Operations. The Loan Operations Specialist lll is responsible for supporting operational duties within the department specific to loan payoff processing, release of all types of loan collateral, insurance processing, loan funding, boarding and callback processes and internal/external customer support. This position requires the individual to work independently, have strong communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and provide guidance to the Loan Operations Team. The incumbent assists management with ongoing daily activities. This position requires that the individual work in office. Ensures compliance within all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Ensures accurate and timely preparation of Loan Demands and Payoff Statements to customers and title companies Responsible for managing incoming payoffs and ensuring accurate and timely posting of loan payoffs on the core system, including refunding overpayments and remitting to the customer Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of applicable Deed of Reconveyance and release of various types of collateral including UCC liens, Life Insurance and DMV titles Provides customer service support for clients and title companies for payoff related inquiries Responsible for maintaining paid loan files and coordinating shipments to offsite storage Provides support to Loan Operations Team processing payments, including participations Provides phone coverage as well as supporting loan officers Assisting with processing construction draws Assisting with monitoring all hazard and flood insurance, including force placed coverage Assisting with funding, boarding and call back processes, in support of the team when needed Directly supports Loan Operations Team, helping to troubleshoot and resolve more complex issues Minimum of 10 hours CRA volunteer hours per year. Volunteer hours are typically scheduled within business hours. This is compensable time and mileage is reimbursed Other duties may be assigned Qualifications: Requires a minimum of 5 years’ banking experience in Loan Operations Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage workload Strong interpersonal skills; presents a positive and professional image Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment: The incumbent in the course of performing this position frequently spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, operating basic business equipment, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, client contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions. The incumbent for this position will occasionally lift up to 15 pounds, pull, squat, kneel and reach. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The work environment is typically quiet to a moderate noise level.
