Description Bank of Botetourt is seeking qualified candidates for a Loan Review Specialist who will work out of our Loan Services Center in Troutville, Virginia. Qualified candidates should possess a high attention to detail and have the ability to maintain accuracy. Requirements Position Summary: This position performs loan reviews to ensure that specific documentation is both accurate and compliant. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Status: Non-Exempt Essential Functions of the Loan Review Specialist: Provide support with all areas of loan files, scanning, updating, and maintaining of loan files. As new loan files arrive to the Loan Administration Center for permanent filing, performs loan reviews to ensure that specific documentation is accurate, and the bank’s liens on collateral are adequately in place Participate in the maintenance and remediation of pending documentation on all loans Provide support and serve as back up to loan file scanner Assist in the identification of loans that qualify for CRA consideration Assist in the identification of loans that qualify for Federal Home Loan Bank collateral consideration Assists in all general departmental duties, including: Handling correspondence and telephone inquiries pertaining to insurance Filing all documents in a timely manner Assisting loan officers and processors with files, faxes, and questions, etc. Preparing reports for secondary market review Basic Qualifications: Possess high attention to detail; ability to maintain accuracy Excellent oral and written communications skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide support to other employees Capable of handling confidential information responsibly Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines BANK OF BOTEOURT Expectations: Provide superior customer service Represent the Bank in a professional manner Represent Bank of Botetourt in community affairs and events Treat all staff members with the utmost respect and cooperation Conduct business to maximize shareholder value Promptly report known or suspected violations of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) laws, rules, or regulations involving the bank, its customers, or any other parties, or violations of the bank’s BSA compliance program to the BSA Officer or Coordinator Promote Information Security and Vigilance: Actively contribute to the protection of sensitive information, data, and systems.
