Description The Loan Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support to the lending department. This role ensures loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory and internal requirements while delivering excellent service to both internal departments and members Requirements Key Responsibilities: · Review loan applications and documentation for completeness and accuracy · Prepare and maintain loan files (consumer, and mortgage) · Verify required documentation such as income, insurance, titles, and collateral · Coordinate loan closings, including preparing closing packages and scheduling appointments · Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (E.g., Reg B, Reg Z, Reg X as applicable) · Input and update loan data in the core processing system · Communicate with loan originators, underwriters, and/or members to gather missing information · Track loan pipeline and follow up on outstanding conditions · Process loan funding and disbursements as directed · Maintain organized records in accordance with retention policies · Assist with audits and quality control reviews · Collection Notices and Letters · Charged off shares report preparation and charging off of the accounts Qualifications Desired: · Familiarity with Texas title requirements and lien perfection · Understanding of Texas specific lending regulations and documentation · Experience working with indirect auto loans and title processing · Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred Required: · High school diploma or equivalent · 1-3 years of experience in lending, loan processing, banking or financial services Skills and Competencies: · String attention to detail and organizational skills · Knowledge of loan documentation and lending processes · Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements · Excellent communication and customer service skills · Proficient in Microsoft Office and lending/core systems · Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines Work Environment: · Office setting with standard work hours · May require occasional overtime to meet funding deadlines · High level of confidentiality required when handling member information
