QUALIFICATIONS:

The success of BFI is based on originating loans that repay. Attention to detail is critical. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially on the phone, will become necessary. This position will require moderate Excel, Word, and Outlook skills which can be learned on the job.

BFI embraces a strong service-based culture. The Loan Underwriter should expect to work 45 hours in a typical week, or roughly 8:15-5:45 with half an hour off for lunch. Certain days/weeks will require greater hours. There will be minimal to zero travel.

• Education: A bachelor’s degree. Please include GPA with resume submission and any other school and standardize testing scores you feel relevant.
• Experience: No experience required. Preference given to those with real estate and/or sales experience.
• Location: BFI’s main office is in downtown Sioux Falls, SD. Remote work is not offered at the Loan Underwriter position.
• Compensation: $57,000 base salary and benefits plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Year two compensation is intended to be well above market with the opportunity for a base salary increase and eligibility for participation in bonus program.
