ROLE SUMMARY: The Lloyd Hotel in Stamford is looking for a Lobby Bartender to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive reputation for the thriving hotel! ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Welcoming and sitting diners comfortably in the dining section * Taking customers’ food and drink orders * Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine stock * Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly * Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant * Ensuring utensils and bar area are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations * Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system * Making menu item recommendations * Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality * Providing attentive service to diners, like refilling drinks as needed and checking in on their needs * Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary * Performing some cleaning duties, such as at the service station and around the kitchen ROLE REQUIREMENTS * Available to work only PM shifts (Monday - Thursday, plus Sunday 3pm - 11:15pm & Friday - Saturday 3pm - 12:15am) * Excellent customer service, including patience and a friendly demeanor * Exceptional organization and time management * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Great active listening skills * Ability and willingness to collaborate * Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper food handling procedures * Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment * Willing to work flexible work schedules that include nights and weekends * Physically able to be on their feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
