Job Details Job Location: Ace Upper Marlboro - Upper Marlboro, MD 20774 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $64,000.00 Base+Commission/month Job Shift: Day Job Category: Sales Position Summary: The Local Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and managing referral partners within a designated geographical area for Ace Relocation. The role includes both in and out of office activities to generate high-quality leads and facilitate the onboarding of new partners. The BDR will use a combination of on-site visits, networking, and virtual presentations to achieve targets. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with local businesses and professionals. Essential Duties and Functions: To perform this job successfully, the individual occupying this position must be able to perform essential job functions set forth below with or without reasonable accommodation. Recruiting Referral Partners: Identify and target potential referral partners within the designated geographical area, including local movers, home remodeling businesses, home organizers, networking groups, house builders, home inspectors/appraisers, lenders, escrow companies, and title companies. Approach and engage potential partners through on-site visits, phone calls, emails, and local networking events. Present the benefits of joining the Referral Network and how it can help partners generate additional business. Lead Generation: Conduct on-site visits to potential clients within the geographical area to generate leads. Use cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach to identify and qualify new leads. Attend local networking events and industry meetups to expand the referral network. Presenting and Onboarding: Use the provided presentation deck to present the Referral Program to potential partners, either in person or remotely. Customize the presentation to fit the needs and branding of each potential partner. Assist new partners with the registration process and ensure they are set up with the referral portal, landing pages, and collateral. Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing relationships with existing partners within the designated geographical area to ensure their satisfaction and continued engagement with Ace Relocation Partners. Provide regular updates and support to partners through email, phone calls, and in-person visits. Track partner referrals and ensure they receive timely updates and payments through the referral portal. Local Market Research and Activity: Stay informed about local industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities. Record all lead generation activities, partner engagement, and overall performance. Suggest improvements to the referral program to improve partner recruitment. Direct Sales Perform in home surveys, provide estimates, and close generated leads that require in person interactions. Advanced calendar management (Microsoft Outlook) Familiarity with CRM software (HubSpot) or similar tools for maintaining customer records. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): The following are required to enable job holders to perform the essential functions of the job. 5+ years of sales experience, industry experience preferred. Must maintain clean driving record, driver license, and insurance. Reliable and presentable transportation Proven track record in building and leveraging professional networks to generate leads, preferably within the moving and storage industry or related sectors. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain strong relationships. Ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities that align with company goals. Proficient in writing and curating enticing email communications. Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable in social settings.
