What we need: Paragon Safety Group is seeking qualified applicants to fill an open position for the role of a Local On-Site Safety Specialist a construction project in Clayton, NC. The person filling this temporary position will work 50 hours per week with occasional Saturdays on the construction site, working to ensure the safe operations of workers on-site on behalf of our client, a subcontractor.
Must be local to the Raleigh/Durham area (No Per Diem is being offered)

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone with charisma and great communication skills, with construction safety management experience, who is exited to be involved in the effort to keep people safe at work.

The successful candidate has:

  • OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 (required)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in jobs with 100% of time managing construction site safety (required)
  • Great communication skills (required)
  • Local to the Raleigh/Durham area, or able to work without a per diem (no per diem is authorized on this project)

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and pass a background check and drug screen.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Perform regular site safety audits and prepare formal audit reports.
  • Coach employees on-site to use safe work practices, in compliance with federal guidelines and company regulations.
  • Monitor the performance of safety critical tasks. Work with the Contractor to ensure proper safety best practices are being implemented.
  • Represent the Contractor’s best interest related to site health and safety at all times.
  • Report safety incidents and conduct investigations when deemed necessary.
  • Conduct Safety Orientation for personnel as needed.
