Job role
The Local EGS Expert for Allianz Services Romania is part of the local support team, ensuring that sustainability is embodied within our organization. This position is part of the global network of Local Environmental Officers working together to reduce Allianz Group’s carbon footprint and protect the planet. The social component of this role makes it also part of the global Corporate Citizenship representative network, as Allianz Services is determined to go beyond its confines and give a helping hand to communities outside the organizational boundaries.
What you will do
Coordinating all local Corporate Citizenship and ESG integration efforts
Close alignment with Corporate Citizenship/ESG engagement and finance areas
Prepare documentation for local donations and sponsorships and maintain relationships with collaborating NGOs
Organize corporate social responsibility events to increase employee engagement
Ensure compliance with local legal environmental requirements
Assist PwC with organization of local audit process (e.g. on site coordination, audit follow up)
Implement ISO 50001 and ISO 14001
Support the maintenance of the control framework (together with local risk officer)
Bi-annual collection and preparation of environmental data and information in line with Group guidelines for local AZS management sign-off and submission to Group.
Preparing environmental action plan (based on facility Minimum Standards Catalogue) with relevant measures and activities to achieve AZS Romania targets, in support of Global-Line targets on environmental performance; collaborating with related, responsible departments (e.g. purchasing, facility management, etc.)
Guiding implementation of measures and activities as agreed with AZS Romania management and ESG Lead
Reporting regularly to Global ESG management on key environmental and social matters as required
Active participation in the Local Environmental Officer and Corporate Citizenship representative network
What you bring
University degree in environmental sciences, public relations, marketing or equivalent
Strong written and spoken English
Solid knowledge on sustainability principles coupled with strong research skills
Flexibility to cover other sectors and help team members when it is required
Understand data and process flows
Self-motivation, self-reliance, good organizational skills
Good team player
