About the role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Local Land Charges & Address Management Officer to join our high-performing team. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the delivery of statutory services, including Local Land Charges, Street Naming & Numbering (SNN), and the Local Land & Property Gazetteer (LLPG). You will play a vital part in maintaining accurate land and property records, supporting conveyancing processes, and ensuring compliance with legislation. As part of a collaborative team, you will work flexibly across service areas and develop your expertise through training and experience. This role offers progression opportunities as your skills develop.   What you’ll be doing * Process Local Land Charges searches, ensuring accuracy and statutory compliance * Support and manage Street Naming & Numbering processes, including assigning addresses * Maintain and enhance LLPG and property datasets * Investigate and resolve complex land, property, and address queries * Validate, update, and manage data across multiple systems * Deliver excellent customer service via phone, email, and written correspondence * Support income processing and ensure accurate financial records * Contribute to service improvements and data quality standards   About you Knowledge & experience * Experience in Local Land Charges, LLPG, address management, or a similar technical environment * Understanding of relevant legislation and standards (e.g. LLC, SNN, BS7666) * Knowledge of local authority processes such as planning or building control (desirable) * Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment   Skills & abilities * Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to interpret mapping and property-related information * Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines * Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team   What we offer * Competitive salary (dependent on experience and grade) * Generous annual leave entitlement * Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme * Flexible and hybrid working opportunities * Ongoing learning and development * A supportive and inclusive working environment   Additional information * Occasional out-of-hours working may be required * Participation in emergency response arrangements may be necessary * The role involves working with sensitive data and requires strict adherence to GDPR and confidentiality standards   Our commitment to diversity Croydon Council is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
