ABOUT THE TEAM

Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) Council is seeking to recruit a Local Land Charges Officer.
The Local Land Charges Team process local authority searches these make up part of the home buying/selling conveyancing process. The local search is split into two parts the Local Land Charges register; this includes financial and non-financial entries related to the property or land. The Con 29 part of the search is a standard form which provides details relating to planning, buildings control, housing, highways and environmental health information about the property or land.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, we are looking for individuals who have a background in Local Land Charges, or knowledge of using GIS. However, we welcome applications from those with good administration skills and have a good eye for detail as accuracy and attention to detail are essential attributes for this role.
The successful candidate would be a flexible team player that is able to manage their own workload, it is essential to be organised and flexible in approach to meet the requirements of small but busy team.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The main duties of the post will be to log the searches on our IT system (TLC) and be responsible for the recording and collection of the correct fees related to the searches. Other duties would be managing the land charges inbox responding to other enquires as appropriate.
The post is 20 hours per week which will be split 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, flexibility over which hours are worked each day can be discussed.
