YOUR ROLE
As the Group LPSO within the Marine Operations Department, you will deliver Local Port Services within the Group Port Control Centre in Liverpool. This role requires you to communicate with Vessel, Agents, Terminal and Port Managers providing information and assistance to ensure the safe transit of vessels through our ports. To assist you within your role you will operate Automatic Identification Systems , Closed Circuit Television and Very High Frequency communication equipment in accordance with International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities and Maritime and Coastguard Agency standards, port specific procedures and local legislation.
You will follow a structured internal training package to achieve a local knowledge endorsement enabling you to operate at the ports for which you hold accreditation.
You will provide first response support to marine related incidents and accident, working within an assigned watch, on a shift pattern basis. Support is provided from the Group Port Control Shift Mangers.
