This post is to promote the delivery of the Cardiology service and the GIM rota. The post can be based at either of our main sites and we have established patterns of cross site working.
This post will suit enthusiastic resident doctors looking to develop and use their skills in medicine and gain expertise in a cardiology. The post-holder will be part of a EWTD and New Deal compliant 24/7 shift rota in medicine. They will be responsible for the continued delivery and further development of an already well-established service for patients living within the catchment area of the Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and surrounding areas and will be working under consultant supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a whole spectrum of emergency patients
  • Assistance and supervision of the F1, F2 and GP VTS doctors with the management of patients.
  • Strengthening the delivery of a high quality General and Emergency Medicine service across the hospital and community.
  • Developing further links between Emergency medicine and medicine
  • Developing innovative practices in clinical patient management, focusing on high quality care.
  • Developing a subspecialty interest.
  • Teaching and training undergraduates as well as postgraduates
  • Quality assurance of the service and individual practice
    The rota pattern is a full shift with appropriate remuneration. All rotas comply with the 2016 Training Doctor contract and EWTD.
