We are seeking an ambitious Locates and Permitting Coordinator who is eager to grow their career while contributing to the success of our innovative projects. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about professional development, this role is for you.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in locates and permitting (telecommunications or construction industry preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and database management tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within the service area.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with CAD software or GIS systems.
  • Knowledge of Ontario’s utility locates processes (e.g., Ontario One Call) and municipal permitting requirements.
  • Experience using project management software.

Responsibilities
  • Permitting & Locates Coordination: Manage locates and permitting processes for fiber optic installation projects, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with municipal authorities, utility companies, and other stakeholders to secure necessary permits and approvals.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records of all permits and locates. Organize project files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Project Support: Assist project managers by tracking timelines, verifying compliance with regulations, and ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Collaboration: Partner with design technicians and field staff to provide accurate information for permit applications.
  • Administrative Excellence: Handle data entry tasks with precision while fostering positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
