Job Title: Hospital Dispensary Pharmacist Banding: Band 7 Location: West Yorkshire Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 months Hourly Rate: Up to £30 per hour umbrella (or PAYE equivalent) Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time Job Overview Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Dispensary Pharmacist to join a busy NHS hospital pharmacy service in Yorkshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and high‑quality dispensary services within a well‑established hospital setting. You will play a key role in clinical screening, accuracy checking, and supporting the wider pharmacy team to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate pharmaceutical care. Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality dispensary services. Conduct clinical screening and accuracy checking of prescriptions. Provide expert medicines information and advice to patients and healthcare professionals. Support and supervise pharmacy technicians and assistants within the dispensary. Ensure compliance with legal, professional, and organisational standards. Participate in audits, service development, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate documentation and uphold robust governance practices. Qualifications and Experience Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Previous NHS hospital dispensary experience (essential). Strong understanding of medicines legislation, dispensing processes, and clinical screening. Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
