The successful candidate will be JAG-accredited and have the opportunity to develop their skills further in independent lists. Excellent training is available in the modality of your choice. You will be able to further develop your interests and have the chance to participate in ongoing research activities in the department, as well as contribute to audits and the development of guidelines. You will be involved in providing designated lists per week (both inpatient and outpatient, emergency and non-emergency).
You will also have the opportunity to develop your training needs outside of these sessions in any of the subspecialties listed below: - Advanced Endoscopy (ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound, Video Capsule Endoscopy) - Clinical Nutrition & Intestinal Failure - Inflammatory Bowel Disease (complex tertiary IBD, adolescent IBD, and clinical trials) - GI Physiology Lists will typically be scheduled on weekdays, but may occasionally occur in the evening or on weekends to accommodate service demand. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing both Gastroenterology inpatients and outpatients. They must be fully competent in all aspects of upper and lower GI endoscopy, as well as the management of GI bleeding. There will be on-call commitments, and full registration with the GMC is essential
