Description

We are delighted to invite applications for a Locum Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist to join our enthusiastic and dynamic multidisciplinary Paediatric Gastroenterology team . This is a full-time (1.0 WTE) locum position for a minimum of 12 months , covering parental leave, with an anticipated start date 1 st Jul 2025.
Our team provides a comprehensive, high-quality tertiary Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition service across the South West of England. Based at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children , part of University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) , we serve a regional population of over one million children . The hospital is a principal teaching center closely linked with the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England (UWE) , offering excellent opportunities for research, undergraduate, and postgraduate education.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic consultant to join our existing team of six consultants (5.7 WTE) . The successful candidate will contribute to our high-standard tertiary service and work within a well-established and supportive multidisciplinary team.

APPLICANTS MUST:

  • Hold a CCT in General Paediatrics (or be within six months of completion) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have at least two years of sub-specialty training in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in an approved institution.
  • Be on, or eligible for, the GMC Sub-Specialty Register for Paediatric Gastroenterology (preferred).
