Description

An exceptional opportunity to join our progressive ENT department and shape the future of regional ENT services.
About This Role
We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Locum Consultant ENT Surgeon to join our well-established, dynamic team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a forward-thinking department that delivers high-quality surgery to sub-specialty levels.
What Makes This Role Special?
Partnership Excellence: Work in close collaboration with the University Hospital of Southampton to provide a comprehensive sub-specialty ENT service and regional tertiary care. This partnership ensures our patients receive world-class treatment while offering you access to complex cases and cutting-edge techniques.
Leadership Opportunity
While your primary focus will be supporting our benign head and neck and diagnostic ENT service, there is an opportunity to support the wider comprehensive elective ENT service. You will also be supported by Southampton’s specialist head and neck team, giving you the best of both worlds – clinical leadership with expert backup.

Educational Impact : Engage actively in our renowned training programmes, including:

  • Comprehensive ENT workshops for other specialties
  • The prestigious Wessex Sinus Surgery Course
  • MAST Paediatric Airway Course
  1. Develop and maintain good working practices within wards, outpatients and A&E
  2. Collaborate and promote close working links with colleagues in tertiary centres, community services and primary care
  3. Offer support and leadership to junior medical colleagues, nursing colleagues and other members of the multi-disciplinary team
  4. Work with colleagues to provide a consultant-led service with the highest standard of care
  5. Work with the multi-professional team to develop care pathways and clinical guidelines
    About Our Department

Our ENT team forms part of a long-standing, highly motivated group delivering comprehensive hospital ENT services. We pride ourselves on:

  • Multidisciplinary care excellence
  • Strong partnerships with tertiary and community services
  • Progressive approach to patient care
  • Commitment to teaching and training
  • Active research and audit culture
