JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking experienced and dynamic Locum Consultants to join our NHS Trust on an immediate basis. This is an excellent opportunity for senior doctors with CCT (or equivalent specialist registration) to provide high-quality care within a supportive environment.
Posts are available across a wide range of specialties, with flexibility in duration (short-term or long-term placements). The successful candidates will be expected to lead clinical teams, deliver patient care to the highest standards, and contribute to service development.

REQUIREMENTS

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) or equivalent specialist qualification.
• Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview).
• Proven experience at consultant level within chosen specialty.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Commitment to NHS values and patient safety.

• Provide consultant-level leadership within the specialty service.
• Undertake ward rounds, clinics, operating lists, and emergency cover as required.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and clinical governance.
• Supervise and support junior doctors, trainees, and allied health professionals.
• Contribute to teaching, audit, and service improvement projects.
• Participate in the on-call rota (where applicable).
