Description This contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in a dynamic medical practice setting, working on-site to ensure optimal patient outcomes. As a Locum CRNA, you will play a pivotal role in delivering anesthesia care across various surgical procedures, collaborating closely with surgeons and medical staff to create safe and effective anesthetic plans. Your expertise will directly impact patient recovery and satisfaction, making this a rewarding position within our dedicated healthcare team. Responsibilities Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments to develop tailored anesthetic plans Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort Provide post-anesthesia care and monitor patients in recovery Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of anesthesia care Respond to emergencies and complications as necessary Stay current with advancements in anesthesia techniques and protocols Educate patients and families about anesthesia processes and safety Requirements Associate degree in Nursing with a specialization in Nurse Anesthesia Current certification as a CRNA Experience in administering anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures Strong understanding of anesthesia pharmacology and patient assessment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment Commitment to maintaining patient safety and high standards of care Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification preferred Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts Weekend call, 1:6 Case Types: General, nerve blocks, ortho, gyn, etc. Support Staff: 5 CRNAs EMR: Plexus Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
