Job Description: Locum Staff Grade Doctor
Location: NHS Trust (various locations)
Contract Type: Fulltime and temporary

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK.
  • At least three years of NHS experience in the relevant specialty.
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
  • Ability to work independently and integrate quickly within NHS teams.
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach.
  • Flexibility to work across different NHS Trust sites if required.
Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are recruiting experienced and motivated Agency Locum Staff Grade Doctors to provide high-quality clinical care across a range of specialties within NHS Trusts. Candidates must have a minimum of three years’ NHS experience and hold a current ALS certification. This is a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly through an agency, supporting NHS services during periods of increased demand, staff shortages, or leave cover.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver patient care safely and effectively within your specialty, in line with NHS protocols and Trust guidelines.
  • Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior medical staff and trainees where applicable.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Comply with all Trust policies on infection control, health and safety, and confidentiality.
  • Engage with continuous professional development (CPD) and maintain up-to-date clinical skills.
  • Assist with clinical audits and contribute to service improvement initiatives when requested.
