DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

It is anticipated that the post holder will support and have or be prepared to develop an interest in Dermatopathology, Gynaecology and Gastro Enterology and provide support for Respiratory pathology. Following restructuring the main laboratory and processing facilities are at Epsom General Hospital. A satellite lab supporting the renal service, frozen sections, autopsy service, and cytopathology service is located at St Helier. The Skin Immuno fluorescence service is also provided at the St. Helier site.

There has recently been an agreement to reconfigure haematology, microbiology, and chemical pathology and immunology services in partnership with South West London Pathology which became active in May 2021.
