Description We are searching for Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physicians for a full time locum contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Augusta, Georgia. This 1099 independent contractor position is expected to begin 7/1/2026 and is a 1 year contract with the opportunity for extensions. Any current, unrestricted U.S. state medical license will be accepted (no GA license requirement). Position Highlights 1 Year Contract with Extension Opportunities $160/hour Sign On Bonus 1099 Contractor No Call, No Weekends Opportunity to support our nation's Veterans Credentialing Assistance Provided Malpractice Coverage Provided Position: Internal Medicine Physician (BC/BE) Contract Dates: 7/1/2026 - 6/30/2027 (option to extend) Compensation: $160/hour + Sign On Bonus Location: Augusta, Georgia - VA Medical Center Schedule: 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, No Weekends, Off on Federal Holidays Scope of Care Comprehensive Primary Care Care Coordination & Telehealth Services Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Geriatric and Palliative Care Integration Women's Health Requirements Any Unrestricted, Current U.S. Medical License ABIM/AOBIM Board Certification or True Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine Previous Experience in Similar Setting Preferred Clean Malpractice History and Criminal Record
