Description

Castlefield are partnering with Charity Healthcare Provider who are seeking an experienced MRI Radiographer to join a small but dynamic team in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, on a 4 to 6 weeks temporary contract (possible extension). This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise in neuroimaging within a highly specialised setting, working with clinicians and researchers on advanced imaging techniques.
Role: MRI Radiographer
Contract: Temp 4 to 6 weeks ASAP start
Location: Based Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire
Rate: Starting £30 per Hour subject to experience
Working hours: Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm

JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will be responsible for scanning patients with neurological conditions, focusing solely on brain and spine imaging. You will be working in a small department with one MRI GE 3T MRI scanner, supported by a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and researchers.

The post holder will:

  • Perform MRI scans on patients and healthy volunteers.
  • Utilise and be trained in advanced methods such as DTI and fMRI.
  • Assist in post-processing functional images and contribute to data analysis and MRI protocol development.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with staff, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and research integrity.
  • Engage directly with patients, volunteers, and colleagues, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Role Requirements:

  • Must have a Diploma of the College of Radiographers (Diagnostic), BSc in Radiography, or equivalent qualification.
  • Must have Valid HCPC registration.
  • MRI experience in brain and spine imaging
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a high level of patient care.
  • Interest in research and willingness to engage in advanced imaging practices.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in MRI are desirable.

Mandatory requirements:

  • Availability to start within the next week.
  • Driver preferred due to the remote location, or must be within a commutable distance of Chalfont St Peter.
  • Willingness to complete compliance and background checks including DBS, RTW, references and occy health.
