Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments of patients in emergency situations Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions Order and interpret diagnostic tests Administer medications and treatments as needed Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Washington Experience in emergency medicine or acute care settings preferred Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations Commitment to providing high-quality patient care Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred Schedule: 6p-3a, 10p-7a, or 7a-4p Patient Census: 8-14 per day Case Types: Mostly medical, low trauma, and medium-high acuity Support Staff: RNs EMR: Epic Must be board-certified or board-eligible Paid travel & expenses
