Adrenaline Optometry is a family-owned independent practice in Terrigal. We provide the widest range of sports & lifestyle boutique eyewear and customer service like no other. We offer full scope Optometry services with special focus on custom made eyewear including Everyday Specs, Sunglasses and Contact Lens for all lifestyles.
JOB TITLE AND TYPE: Optometrist (Locum – Every 2nd Saturday 9am till 2pm)
LOCATION: Adrenaline Optometry Terrigal
SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Managing Optometrist & Practice Manager

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor of Science (Optometry) or its equivalent determined by OA Reg. Board.
· Current membership of the OA Registration as a practicing Optometrist.
· Current ABN
· Current Professional indemnity insurance
· Monthly invoicing. Hourly rate scale $80-90 per hour
Job Types: Casual, Locum
Pay: $80.00 – $90.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 per week

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are offering a position for a qualified Optometrist, registered with AHPRA, to join our service on a locum basis – either every second Saturday or as mutually agreed
upon. Trading hours on a Saturday is 9am till 2pm.
We seek professionals who can provide a premier testing experience and deliver effective digital eye care along with recommendations to patients from various eye care needs.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Eye examinations for a broad range and scope of customers by taking on different types of appointments – yearly examinations, emergency appointments, Glaucoma tests and more
· Contact lens consultations and fittings
· Recommendation of lens types for patients for single vision, progressive and photochromic
· Evaluate and provide recommendations for eye-related symptoms, such as discharge, redness, and inflammation.
· Provide appropriate quality patient care that seeks to improve the long-term health outcomes of the patient
·Support and guide Optical Assistant as required
·Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the practice including overall presentation and cleanliness
·Complete administration as required
·You will work to all practice policies and healthcare guidelines
