Description

Wadham College, one of the largest Oxford colleges, is looking for two permanent, full time Lodge Receptionists to join the team. We have positions available for day & night-shift reception staff.
The Lodge is not only front of house, but in many ways, it is the hub of the College, and the role of a Lodge Receptionist is vital to the efficient running of the College. Our Lodge Receptionists are expected to be knowledgeable about College life and rules and to be polite and helpful when dealing with both members of the public, and the wider college community.
Salary: Grade 3 on the University salary Scale: £26,969 pa - £27,591 per annum.
In addition, Wadham College also pays full-time staff a further £1,500 Oxford Weighting per annum.

There is no closing date for applications and the advert will remain open until both roles are filled. The College reserves the right to take down the vacancy with no notice should sufficient applications be received and/or the posts are filled.

The post-holders will need to have customer service experience, excellent communication skills, good administrative skills and be able to use their own initiative and deal effectively with any issues that may arise. Experience of working in an Oxford College is not essential and training will be provided in the role.
A successful check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is an essential requirement for the role.
The working hours are full time: 2080 hours per annum as per roster
(approx. 40 hours per week, averaged over 6 weeks).
Hours for day receptionists fall between 7am-7pm and night receptionists work between 7pm-7am to ensure the Lodge is covered 24 hours a day.
College benefits include excellent pension scheme, university discounts, access to leisure services, development and training opportunities, bus pass scheme, cycle to work scheme and health and schemes.
