ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides and ensures all guests with a successful experience during their stay while maintaining the integrity of the Lodge and the resort. Greets and registers guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner; assessing needs Perform cashier functions to include but not limited to: post of charges, make change, balance cashier drawers at end of shift, etc. Present statements to and collect payments from departing guests Answer phone calls promptly, ensuring complete and accurate information Completes all items listed on the Front Desk checklist for the appropriate shift Follows established key control policy Ensures proper credit policies are followed Coordinate with Housekeeping to make sure rooms are clean and ready for guest arrivals Maintain Front Desk supplies Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager Make, confirm and cancel reservations for guests Maintain open lines of communication with all employees within all departments Provide solutions to problems for guests, associates and management Assist with Group blocks and rooming lists Assist in training new staff members Ability to lift, bend, twist, stand and walk for long periods of time QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous hotel experience – preferably prior Front Desk Agent experience. Excellent communication skills. Ability to accomplish necessary tasks on the computer. Schedule flexibility.
