JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining pricing, availability, stay restrictions, third party connectivity, and other revenue enablement functions for properties owned and operated, or managed, by Vail Resorts Hospitality. In this role, you’ll work with cross-functional teams to implement pricing strategy and develop best practices in distributing lodging. The right candidate for this role is an agile learner with the drive and curiosity needed to understand and improve complex processes at scale.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in hospitality-related field
  • Experience working in property management systems and central reservations systems.
  • Familiarity working with interfaced systems.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Suite including Excel.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Strong organization and time management skills required.
  • Driven by curiosity to grow knowledge base and improve processes.
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible in response to emergent tasks and competing priorities.
  • Some evening and/or weekend work may be required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to adjust your communication to your intended audience
  • Some knowledge of revenue management concepts and tactics.
  • Experience working in IQware PMS, SynXis CRS, and Inntopia CRS/RMS.
  • Familiarity with OTA Extranets.
  • Ability to review XML files transmitted between systems.
    The expected Total Compensation for this role is $56,485.00 - $70,000.00. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to the health and strength of a dynamic team culture.
  • Embrace and contribute to an Enterprise-wide culture of leadership.
  • Load rates, availability, and stay restrictions in property management systems and distribution platforms with guidance from Revenue Strategy.
  • Execute lodging promotions by implementing discounting with guidance from Revenue Strategy and ensuring production is trackable.
  • Execute tax and fee changes based on guidance from Sales & Use Tax and Revenue Strategy teams
  • Support bi-annual Cancellation/Deposit policy review and required configuration changes with guidance from Revenue Strategy
  • Maintain rate parity across channels (PMS, RMS, OTA’s, etc.) by diagnosing configuration issues and identifying rate misuse.
  • Support onboarding of new inventory, new unit types, systems, and capabilities to our distribution ecosystem.
  • Maintain property, unit type, and unit level content in all distribution channels to set Operations teams up for success
  • Serve as an inventory, restriction, and connectivity expert to other revenue enablement functions. Assist in translating revenue strategy to configuration in our distribution platforms.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for processes that involve multiple systems and/or multiple stakeholders, considering upstream and downstream impacts.
  • Provide support to the Hospitality division including Reservations and Operations to resolve and prevent guest reservation issues.
  • Provide support to Hospitality IT Team as subject matter experts and completing testing for resolution of system defects.
  • Provide access to OTA Extranets for internal stakeholders.
