Title: Guest/Outside Services Crew Department: Whitefish Mountain Resort Lodging (WMRL) Status: Full-time Seasonal (FTS), Hourly FLSA: Non-Exempt, Hourly Updated: March 2024 Job Summary:  The Guest/Outside Services' objective is to facilitate the check-in, comfort, and departure of guests and owners while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Additionally, the Outside Services objective is to ensure visually pleasing and safe grounds for arriving owners and guests. This includes assisting with yardwork, garbage removal, and maintenance at WMRL managed properties. The Front Desk is located along the Kintla boardwalk in the upper village. Job Relationships: * Reports to: Front Desk Manager, Assistant Manager * Employees Supervised: None Job Specifications: * High School graduate or GED equivalent. * Experience in lodging or resort-specific front desk duties and guest service preferred. * Minimum of 3 years of high-quality Guest Services experience preferred. * Grounds crew or landscaping experience preferred. * Knowledge of the local area preferred. * Office clerical/computer experience preferred, including MS Office, copy/fax, RTP, Streamline. * Availability for weekends, some evenings, and holidays, with potential for overtime during peak demand times. * Ability to remain calm and professional in handling a variety of tasks and stressful situations. * Self-starter able to work independently with little supervision. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing customer service. * Ability to cross-sell other departments and businesses at the resort to guests. * Prioritize personal safety and participate in the company safety program. * Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and meet WSI Vehicle Insurance standards. * Ability to work safely within OHSA guidelines for Hazardous Materials. * Operate within the framework of company and department policies and procedures. Specific Duties: * Assist in garbage removal, snow removal, and grounds maintenance at the units on a schedule a minimum of twice weekly. * Operate and maintain seasonal maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, and snow blowers. * Provide administrative support to managers, including record-keeping, reporting, and billing. * Utilize Streamline to interact with reservations, answer guest inquiries, and complete related tasks. * Assist guests upon arrival and departure following established procedures. * Communicate professionally using internet tools and software. * Provide thorough information to guests about the resort and surrounding areas. * Maintain cleanliness of the Front Desk public areas and vehicles daily. * Complete assigned projects including property secures, package delivery, maintenance, deliveries, linen resupply, and shuttles. * Ensure a safe experience for guests and protect the investment of the owner by being alert to changing environmental conditions. * Emphasize customer service and safety in all aspects of operation. * Acquire knowledge specific to individual properties managed by WMRL. * Maintain a professional appearance and a courteous, helpful attitude at all times. * Aid with cash management, counting the bank, and cash reconciliation. * Perform additional activities as assigned by Manager. * Willingly learn and perform various positions related to Lodging Check-In operations. Work Environment: * Moderate physical activity including bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, and stretching. * Ability to stand for extended periods and sit at a computer workstation. * Safely drive company vehicles as needed. * Work under varying weather conditions. * Requires use of approved chemical cleaning agents daily. * Operate efficiently in an office setting using computers. * Flexibility in schedule changes on short notice. * Non-smoking environment.
