Title: Guest Services Crew Department: Whitefish Mountain Resort Lodging (WMRL) Level: Full Time Seasonal (FTS), Hourly FLSA: Non-Exempt, Hourly Effective Date: March 2024 General Duties:  The Guest Service Crew aims to provide a clean, well-informed first impression to WMRL guests and assist in their arrival, comfort, and departure from WMRL managed properties. The Front Desk is situated along the Kintla boardwalk in the upper village. Job Relationships: * Reports to: Front Desk Manager, Front Desk Assistant Manager, and Lead * Employees Supervised: None Job Specifications: * High School graduate or GED equivalent. * Experience in lodging or resort-specific front desk duties and guest service preferred. * Minimum of 3 years of high-quality Guest Services experience preferred. * Knowledge of the local area preferred. * Office clerical/computer experience preferred, including MS Office, copy/fax, RTP, Streamline. * Availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays, with potential for overtime during peak demand times. * Ability to remain calm and professional in handling a variety of tasks and stressful situations. * Self-starter able to work independently with little supervision. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing customer service. * Ability to cross-sell other departments and businesses at the resort to guests. * Prioritize personal safety and participate in the company safety program. * Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and meet WSI Vehicle Insurance standards. * Operate within the framework of company and department policies and procedures. Specific Duties: * Assist guests upon arrival and departure following established procedures. * Communicate professionally using internet tools and software such as MS Office, Teams, and Sharepoint. * Provide administrative support to managers, including record-keeping, reporting, and billing. * Utilize Streamline to interact with reservations, answer guest inquiries, and complete related tasks to arrival and departure. * Provide thorough information to guests about the resort and surrounding areas. * Maintain cleanliness of the Front Desk public areas and vehicles daily. * Sell, clean, receive, stock, and face product in the Village market daily. * Perform daily tasks including property secures, package delivery, technology troubleshooting, minor maintenance, deliveries, and shuttles. * Ensure guest and employee safety by being alert to changing environmental conditions and taking appropriate action. * Emphasize customer service and safety in all aspects of operation and participate in ongoing training opportunities to maintain standards. * Acquire knowledge specific to individual properties managed by WMRL. * Acquire a detailed knowledge of other departments and businesses at the resort and effectively communicate that information to guests. * Maintain a professional appearance and a courteous, helpful attitude at all times. * Aid with cash management, bank counting, and cash reconciliation. * Willingly learn and perform various positions related to Lodging Check-In operations. Work Environment: * Moderate physical activity including bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, and shoveling. * Ability to stand for extended periods and sit at a computer workstation for several hours daily. * Safely drive company vehicles as needed. * Work under varying weather conditions, often extreme. * Use approved chemical cleaning agents daily, with proper training provided. * Operate efficiently in an office setting using computers. * Flexibility in schedule changes on short notice. * Non-smoking environment.
